Film Production Glossary
R
RAW
The RAW format aims to record as much information for a picture as possible. The Red One records 12 bit RAW. Original RAW footage often looks unsightly; however, it develops its full beauty in post production once it has been color corrected. The camera settings are saved as metadata and can be changed in post production non-destructively.
